At the personal level, i trained young photographers. I played a pivotal role in promoting and supporting photographers associations. I have been instrumental in honoring stalwarts of yester years through different forums. I strike a proverbial balance between profession and compassion. These qualities earned me much kudos from various stakeholders in the field. Honours, awards and laurels came rolling way. These awards are trophies for mydedication, excellence and learning in the field. I regularly participates in the competitions IIPC, FIP, PSA, RPS, FIAP, ICS, UPI, PSS, and BPPA.

I received AP Creativity and Culture Commission Ugadi Puraskaram in 2015 and Acharya Nagarjuna Universitys Pratibha Puraskaram-2016. Received Best Photojournalist Award from Andhra Patrika given in the name of founder Kasinadhuni Nageswarao Memorial Viswadatha Award. Also received Vadlamudi Ramamohan Rao Memorial Award and  Polavarapu KoteswaraRao Memorial Award. PENJAP has presented the Kanti Chitra Ratna Award.

I received UNESCO Awards, Performance award from China in 2017 and Okamoto Excellence award from Japan in 2002.

I feeds innate art. I dotes on lens. Never has me rested on laurels. The unflagging zeal keeps me alive in profession.

Educational Qualification is Master of Communication and Journalism MCJ, Master of Arts MA and Diploma in Photography. BFA Photography studying.

I worked for Deccan Chronicle and Andhra Bhoomi in Visakhapatnam from 1988 to 1994, Indian Express and Andhra Prabha in Hyderabad and Vijayawada 1994 to 2000. From 2000 to 2019 in The Hindu, Vijayawada, AP.

I conducted number of photo contests  and exhibitions. I conducted  National level photo contest for photojournalists under State Photojournalists Association of AP in association with AP Creativity and Culture Commission as president and jury from last five years. As jury of State, National and International Photo contests. I am giving tips to students of schools and colleges. I am  faculty of number of workshops. My award pictures exhibited in several art galleries. I takes pleasure to me in making photographs than merely taking them. Most of my photographs frame ideas and words in pictures. My thrust with camera is a continuing saga. For me, the rest is photography.

Total 38 years of experience as Photojournalist
